Inside the content quality check: hook, clarity, CTA, platform fit
July 20, 2026 · 2 min read
Anyone can get an AI to write a social caption. The problem is the second step nobody talks about: deciding whether that caption is actually good enough to post. Most teams do this by gut feel, one draft at a time.
JimmAI builds the quality check into the workflow. Two agents share the job: the Content Agent drafts platform-ready copy, and the Content Checker scores and rewrites it before it reaches your review queue.
The four dimensions
Every draft gets scored on the things that decide whether social copy performs:
Hook. Does the first line earn the next one? Social feeds punish slow openings — the checker looks at whether the opening creates curiosity, tension, or immediate relevance instead of warming up.
Clarity. Can a distracted reader get the point in one pass? Jargon, buried messages, and sentences doing three jobs at once all cost clarity points.
Call to action. Is there one, is it specific, and does it match the goal? "Learn more" on an awareness post and "Shop the drop" on a conversion post are different jobs — a mismatched or missing CTA gets flagged.
Platform fit. Instagram, Facebook, and X have different lengths, rhythms, and conventions. Copy that reads like a LinkedIn essay pasted into X gets caught here, along with per-platform rules like hashtag usage and caption structure.
Low scores trigger rewrites, not shrugs
When a draft scores poorly, the checker doesn't just report the number — it rewrites. You see the improved version, not a red scorecard and homework. If the result still isn't right, you can regenerate with direction or edit it yourself before approving.
Grounded in your voice, not generic "engaging content"
The scoring isn't happening in a vacuum. Both agents work from your Business Brain — the brand, audience, products, and rules you've provided — so "good" means good for your business, in your voice, aimed at your audience. That's also why giving JimmAI proper business context upfront visibly improves first-draft quality.
The last check is still you: every piece of content goes through your review and approval before it can be scheduled. The quality gate just means what lands in your queue is worth reviewing.
